Our history

In 1974, driven by the dream of contributing to feeding humanity, Sérgio Estevão Rotta and his wife Amélia Josefina Rotta founded Granja Real. With the mission of supplying hatching eggs and day-old chicks, the couple planted the seed of a business that would flourish and become a reference in the poultry sector.

Today we operate a complete complex: grain handling, feed mill, own fleet, wood shavings plant, administrative centre, hatchery, 2 rearing farms and 12 company-owned production farms, covering the full cycle of rearing, production, incubation and logistics.

Beyond the domestic market, Granja Real opened its doors to export markets in 2016.

To this day Granja Real remains a family-run company, made up of more than 400 families, with the second generation leading the board for the past 32 years, looking to the future without forgetting the values that brought us here.

Export

Brazil’s animal health status, combined with continuous investment in technology, has placed the country among the world’s largest exporters of hatching eggs and breeding stock.

At Granja Real, export has been part of our identity for a decade. Since opening our first overseas market in 2016, we have built solid, lasting relationships with international customers, the result of consistent quality, reliability and trust.

We currently export to six countries, with customers who have stayed with us for years. That continuity reflects our commitment to delivering, inside and outside Brazil, the same standard of quality that built our reputation over more than 50 years.
